Hi everyone!

Lets start with the news- I have closed my Scraphead store. I loved the scraphead community, but there just didn't seem to be a market for word art there. I am still selling at GDS- so please go shopping!!! Please :)

As far as shopping goes- I do have some new stuff in my store :)

This fathers day pack will be available this weekend- just in time for Father's day! There is also an add on that will be featured as the Daily Download on Saturday- you won't want to miss it!

I also did a collab with Jenn of Dancing Princess Designs! I did a word art pack that coordinates with her new kit Whodunit? . Check out her store for the full kit. These will both be available this weekend as well.

Hi all-
I have been so bad about updating recently :( I am so sorry- life just keeps getting in the way! May is the busiest month of the year for me and it was extra crazy this year! But- things have settled down some for the summer!

Hey everyone!!

I have some things to share!!

I actually got some scrapping done recently :) YIPEE for me!

This first one is with a template from Robyn Pali. She creates awesome templates. You can grab them over at Enchanted Studio Scraps. For some reason the journaling is hard to read :( but I still thought it was cute.

These were done with part of the Take Your Breath Away collection from Sweet Digi Scraps

over at Been There Scrapped That. I love these mini kits and I am really happy with how these layouts turned out.

Finally...I have a new word art pack at GDS. Just Relax coordinates with the kit- Kick Back and Relax from One Memory at A Time. Be sure to check out the full kit as well!

Ok- thats about it for now!

I do have some challenges running at both GDS and Scraphead. I have 2 at GDS..so here is the 2nd one :)

Busy, busy, busy

I have been so busy the past few weeks. I have been up to my eyeballs in room mom/PTA stuff. I think I am crazy for offering to be the room mom for both kids. ugh :)

I have barely had time to do any scrapping. I did get to do an all about me layout. Trish H Designs new head CT thought it would be fun for all of us on the CT to pick their favorite Trish kit and scrap a layout about us. It was sort of fun. I never do layouts about me. Usually I am not even in the pictures. My son was looking through a photo book we got recently and asked why I wasn't in any of the pictures. :( My goal for the year is to be in more pictures with the kids. Anyway - here is my layout. I used Trish's Devious kit and Devious glitter fills. I just LOVE this kit...the colors, the wire elements, everything :)

Have I ever told you that I love my kids? and that they always make me laugh?? :)
Today I took my daughter ( 3) to a local petting zoo. She had never been there and was having a blast. Suddenly she stopped, pointed and SHOUTED " Mommy, look there is a BIG, UGLY, HORSE." I burst out laughing. She was pointing to a donkey! I told her it wasn't a horse that it looked sort of like one but it was a donkey. She put one hand on her hip, the other covering her nose and said, " well he pells" ( how she says smells)

Tonight as my hubby was putting her to bed, she decided it was time to scream, yell and generally act bratty since she didn't want to go to bed yet. He finally told her if she continued to scream and not go to bed that he would take a privilege away from her. My son ( 6) who was laying in the hall watching the very entertaining scene piped up and said, " make sure its a good one you take away Daddy. Don't take away something she doesn't care about."

Gotta Love Em!

Ok- off to get some work done now that both kiddos are in bed and asleep ( hopefully)
I will try to work on a freebie in the next week or so. The word art was a bit hit....anyone want some more of that? maybe some Halloween ones? No promises...but I will see what I can do :)

Trish H Designs released a new kit today ! It is called Summer Romance and it is beautiful. I love it already and I have only done 1 layout :)

And some exciting news for me- Trish asked me to stay on as a permant CT member :) YIPEE. My guest spot was over and I was so sad to say goodbye to her and her team! I was a little surprised when she asked me to stay....super excited, but a little surprised. Her team is so talented -- so I am sure you will be seeing lots of layouts and news about Trish H Designs in the future :)

Here is another layout I did this week. I used ScrapShana's kit- Cool Dude and a few things from Trish's kit- Kim's Bright Summer . This is another picture of her that I just fell in love with. I am really pleased with this layout...I seem to be doing layouts that are very simple these days. Not like me really..but I think they turn out good :)

I can't believe it-- I was RAKed twice today....I have never been RAKed before..and then twice in one day! I got 2 fantastic kits !!
First Moon Scraps RAKed me with his new collab with Franziska Altmann-Urban Solitude
Then Brenda Smith Designs had a contest to name her new kit and my idea was the 3rd place. She RAKed me with the new kit Romance and Blues!

Sorry I don't have previews..I am having trouble getting previews posted on my blog :( any thoughts??

anyway- I wanted to share my good news with you!!! If you haven't seen these 2 kits check them out! I will be posting layouts using them very soon :)

Here is a new mini kit for you- Soft Beauty. I have no idea why I named it that...I could come up with nothing else. I think it fits :)
anyway- this kit has 7 papers, 4 mats,3 bows, 1 stitched star,1 doodle flower,1 jewel frame,1 swirl and 1 flourish.

Here is another freebie kit. This is a Dr. Seuss theme...sort of . LOL

I made some papers and word art quotes for the elementary school I taught at last year. They were doing a project for Read Across America. While I can not give out all the papers I used in that project ( due to copyright stuff) I am giving out the ones I can. I also went ahead and made a few elements to go along with them. The quotes are the ones I made for school--if you have a favorite Dr. Seuss quote that you would like me to do for you, leave it in the comments section and I will see what I can do. :)

I scrapped a layout this morning of my daughter when she was about 18 months old. It is one of my favorite pictures of her. I think she looks like "Cindy Lou Who" in it. She is just too cute ( not that I am biased or anything). Anyway- I used a kit called Oodles of Doodles. I think it turned out adorable!

The kit is by Vicki- A Work In Progress- She has the most amazing freebies on her blog and word has it she is looking for a CT. :)

I got a kit called " Too Much Joy" from B~ Creative Designs. I love it!!! I got it last night and couldn't wait to scrap something with it! I scrapped 2 layouts right away. I did these pretty quickly so they may not be my best but I love the colors in this kit and wanted to get started. LOL - anyway, here they are:

I was in a nostalgic mood I guess. I picked pictures of my son when he was about 18 months old and one from my daughter's Baptism ( she was about 6 weeks and he had just turned 3). These are 2 of my favorite pictures of my kids. My son is now 6 1/2 and my daughter is 3 1/2. Wow-time flies. I get a little weepy just looking at these pictures. How can they be so big already ???

But---look at the great kit !!! I LOVE the alpha- isn't it adorable???

Well here is my first full kit- It is a back to school kit. I hope someone will be able to use it. Glitter and a challenge for Ellie's Angels

Here ia a layout I did using the glitter fills I got when I took advantage of the sale Trish is having ( see post below). I created this layout for a challenge that Ellie's Angels are having on their blog. Ellie's Angels are Ellie Lash's CT. They have a super fun blog where they have daily posts, fun stuff and downloads....check them out.

Anyway- the Thursday challenge was a template challenge where you have to tell the story of the pictures. Here is what I came up with.

Ok...here goes nothing...here is a simple word art I created a while back to use in a layout of my husband. Hope you like it...please leave me a comment if you download! Click on preview to download ( hopefully...never uploaded to 4 shared before...fingers crossed hoping this works)

Edited to add: when you click on the image to download it looks different....it looks as if it has a dark pink background. I am not sure why it looks like this in 4 shared... the downloaded image looks like the one in the preview only with a transparent background :)

Here is a layout that I did for my son's first day of school today. I used that back to school kit I was talking about in an earlier post. I have just created a few things for it so far--what do you think? I like the word art border- I am not so sure about the crayons???

It is my first attempt at designing so no laughing...everyone has to start somewhere right? :)

Anyway- I thought the picture was adorable so I wanted to share.

Can I get a big YAHOO --School starts here tomorrow!!!! My son will have some way of channeling his energy other then tormenting his sister !! YIPEE, YAHOO!

I am hoping to have some new ways to keep myself busy while the little ones are at school. I don't want to say much or get my hopes up, but I have applied to be on 2 CT's. Hopefully I will have some good news in a week or so.

We are also gearing up around here for school to start back !! I am so ready...I never thought I would be the mother who wished for school to start back, but...I am :)
I am toying with the idea of trying to design a back to school kit. I just don't think anyone would want my simple designs. What designing ability I do have right now is mostly in the form of CU products. There are so many of those out there that everything starts to look the same. I don't know....any interest??

Well- I finally came back!

I have been busy the last few weeks--I was picked to be a guest CT for Trish H Designs! YIPEE for me!!! Her work is amazing and I have had so much fun creating layouts with her stuff. She released a new kit this week called Sweet Pea. It is beautiful...simply beautiful.
Here are a few layouts I did with it.

It is such a fun, girly kit. I had to go back and find pictures of my daughter from early on. I did not start digi scrapping until this past year, so none of my kids baby/first year pics have been scrapped. Guess it's time I went back and did it? :)
